Talking YB7 paint codes

This is probably a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone has paint codes for the YB7 (or YB8/YB4 as they are the same colour scheme). I looked on the Color Rite site, but they do not mention Bimota at all. My YB7 is currently tri colour , but it needs repainting and I prefer the white red gold scheme of the late 80's YB4 racers anyways. I was also wondering if a talented painter could replicate the colour scheme from photos.......I don't know if I am being realistic, or should just try and have it repainted in the original colours, as they can use my own bike for reference for paint hues and stripe placement etc.

Thanks for any help

I have one in my collection and can get you some photos. If you need color information the source of most reliable information is Bob at Bimota Spirit in NC. Good Luck, it is a rare and fun ride. Dave

Here are some shots:

I don't know if even Bob would have those codes. He'd be the first place I'd check though.

I needed touch-up paint for my SB6 and went to Sherwin Williams Automotive Finishes. They put a scanner on the bike, it spit out codes for the white and the red and they mixed them right there. Ended up being a near perfect match.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I will talk to Bob about paint codes and if that is a dead end I may just look at repainting using the exsisting colour scheme. I see a Tesi 1D in the background- do you own one of each generation of Tesi??

Yes, I have a 1Dsr, a 2D and a 3D. I would like to find a 1es or ef but few, if any, came into the US and I have not seen one for sale. Dave

Bob might be able to come thorugh for you. I can't remember if I even asked him back when I wanted to get touch-up paint. Someone told me about Sherwin Williams (I can't remember who but it might've even been Bob) and for the small amount that I needed, it was just easier to go over there and have them mix it. It was pretty inexpensive too.

By the way the existing paint scheme on your bike is pretty nice too. But then I love the tricolore bikes.
