I owned one of them. I imported it from Italy. I got the second one off the production line. Couldn't get the first one as that was spoken for Michele Arboreto, Ferrari's F-1 driver at the time. Very beautiful bike but a complete POS. Wasn't just that the engine ran poorly if at all, the suspension was jacked too. A bad deal all together.
Luckily I was able to trade it for a bitchin' Ferracci built 916/984 race bike.

The carburated models made nowhere near the 115hp the injected model was supposed to have. That bike killed Bimota!!

V-due FI fix

If one of you has a FI Vdue and it's running like garbage, you may want to talk to Ken Zeller at Evoluzione Cyclesports in California. A few years ago Ken tuned at least one of the FI bikes and installed, among other things, his newvolt system. I rode it up and down the street a few times and it pulled cleanly through the entire RPM range, and easily brought the front wheel off the ground around 6-7,000 rpm in 1st and 2nd gear.

vdue

hello i have the only vdue in new zealand (had it since 1997} and mine seems to work well having been raced at local BEARS race meetings. the main problem is that they are not a town bike and with a secondary muffler after the expansion chamber and before the stingers they just load up with oil !! on the track or where there are no stop/go like lights and slow cars it runs well . martin
