Sadly this forum is very quiet but I would think it is worth at least $8K

I've heard of a garage queen and a trailer queen...
This is the first time I've heard of a living-room queen, though.
Are you thinking of buying it as an investment, basically to just look at? There are far uglier things I've seen displayed in people's homes. That would probably make it worth more than a bike that's been used and you just want to ride it.
Depending on how long it's been parked, if you intend on riding it, you should have it checked out. The tires should probably be replaced, but beyond that seals and gaskets can dry out and shrink as well.
If you pick it up, share some pics!

Personally I'd avoid it (unless you want it for display purposes).
Here's what I'd be worried about>
Rust in the cylinder walls/valve seats/rings...even the trans gears, etc.
Timing belts
Brake seals in masters & calipers...and clutch slave too.
ALL hoses> water, brake, oil, fuel
Tires
What's it worth?...probably $9-$11k if it was ridable...which it isn't right now without a lot of parts & work.

I agree with Bruce but don't think you should avoid it. You need to ask yourself this question; Is it worth the gamble? ALL the things Bruce listed can be wrong or could go wrong in the next little while. The safety items like tires, brake lines etc. NEED to be replaced and can be bargined over.
There is one on Ebay now that did not sell for $7900 last time round and is relisted: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3D10%26ps%3D63 It could have similar problems for the low mi it has and it has other issues.
For that matter you can bargin over all of the stuff because it is all unknown. I know a mechanic who picks up all sorts of old vehicles and puts them back on the road. Some after years of sitting outside and some have issues and some do not. Fix up what is NEEDED and ride it but I would not take a cross country tour until you have a year or 5000 trouble free miles on it. (What I would do to see if the motor will be ok.)
I bought an old Moto Guzzi for my wife with less than 8000 miles on it. It had sat for over 10 years and needed $1200 worth of rubber replaced. The MG engine has an oil pan that comes off so you can see the crank, and cyl's from below. I used a small LED light to see inside from the top and it was like new. I rebuilt all the brakes, and more to get it up to snuff. The same goes for the DB4. If it really sat in a living room for all that time take a good look inside with a light like this one: http://www.diytrade.com/china/4/prod...ake_light.html

Phone a Ducati dealer and ask how much it would cost to do a rebuild on that motor.
Good luck.

I woke up this morning and said to myself "Did I recommend changing the WATER HOSES on a DB4 to a guy the other day?!?"
DOH!!

You were typing this as I was doing mine so I did not know this. I'd say it is very much worth looking at in this case.
