How many DB2s around here?

Just wondering as I'm considering picking up a DB2EF...

Do it. I have seen a few first hand both when they were new and one about three months ago. If I did not already have my original DB2 set up and painted at the factory in the color scheme I selected, I'd buy an EF in a flash. They look great and the few I have seen around are priced no higher than the 'common' DB2s. Dave

I had mentioned in another thread that Bob Smith said he only imported five DB2EF's into North America. So they are quite rare.
I love mine. The black/silver/red is my favorite. But I do truly like any of the DB2's. They all look great.

Well I have a 93 that I brought over from Europe. Should have waited a year for the bottom to fall out and saved a lot of money. But then I would not have had all the fun that trip was. Well worth it in the long run. I'd buy another bike that way just for the good time it was getting it.

Here it is on a section of road I wish was "private". What a ride that weekend was. Thank god for the Olympics, they spend money on repaving roads here for that.

Thanks for the responses guys - yeah, I think I'll take it. Any "must have" mods or at least most-bang-for-the buck ones? I do see some nice Dymag wheels and Motocorse slip-ons (very spendy), but not much else...

There is, however, a nice DB4 on ebay - not crazy about the respray, but I'm loving the Motocorse exhaust and the Keihin flatslides...hmm....

But I must say I prefer the steel frame and the lines of the 2 though! So I guess DB2 EF it is!

Well, looks like the DB2 EF is not happening. The seller decided not to honour the deal and sold it to the next guy with cash in hand instead. Hate it when that happens...

Oh well, the search continues...

The DB2EF is nice. They saved a few bucks in some areas over the regular model, but nothing that cant be changed. Buy it and do Flatslides and a 944 kit. You'll love it!!

I like my DB4Corse, but since my DB2 was built the way I wanted it and set up by Hansen Racing's builder with the same 944/Flat sides, etc kit if I had to give up one, it would be the DB4. The DB2 is just so classic and, IMHO, a slightly better looking bike. Actually, I think I will keep both Dave

Talking

Dave Dave Dave, the problems you have. I like some of the DB4 better, such as the tail and the paint. I would love to give one a try to see how much different they are.
