Bought a Speedcell
I read about the battery and found it hard to believe but once you have it there is no doubt that it really only weights 1.6 lbs. I still have to install it as my bike runs and can be ridden and thus my wife has a valid argument that I should finish one of her bikes first.

Let us know how it works for you. Just get it in that DB2 as soon as possible.

Please, let us how it works out. I'm almost eager for my battery to fail so I can get one of these.

I'm with the others.....would really appreciate some real world feedback on this product (and I wouldn't even wait for a battery to fail!).

We are sharing one SpeedCell SBK Battery on several of our project bikes by wiring the quick release harness onto all of them that have easy access to the battery. It only takes a few minutes to swap the battery around. This will save us hundreds of dollars in batteries every year.
The bikes starts up very easy and has been reliable for the last 8 months. The battery is never left on a tender and is only used to start the bike on weekends. So far so good.

LOL Aw come on it's just money and the economy is in the tank. God knows next year there will not even be gas to be bought for your bike.
I've not had a chance and this weekend is a bike show, so after that. The battery is not that easy to get to on the DB2. Excuses, excuses, I know.

Its in and the first start was just like normal, naturally. If you are going to do any work on a DB2, make sure you go in and fix up the wire connectors. I have found more corroded and mucked up crimp connections than I care for. Must have been a bad day for the guy building it. No big deal as I clean them up and solder them, plus heat shrink on top of it.

23 starts and counting. Bike is a pain to start when it is dead cold but no problems.
