Did you ever get any info on the Carbon Dream parts ?

I have an SB8R, and inquired MANY places a couple years back about the belly pan when my stock piece started cracking in the "tail" area. I was told then that the belly pan was never actuallyput into production.

I also never heard back from any inquiries to Bimota USA about a OEM belly pan.

I talked with this guy at CarbonPartz today. It seems like he may be a guy that can make some CF items for me. I plan to send him a few carbon fiber custom items to see how good his work is, and then I will go from there.

Over the past 10 years I have had a number of individuals "try" to make custom carbon parts for me including fairing components. For the most part this has been a very expensive and frustrating failure. Ive donated a number of brand new parts, including complete new BIMOTA fairing and a nice big roll on money to have the parts custom made out of CF.....so far all I have gotten back are totally unacceptable prototype pieces that I toss into the trash.

So.....here I go again......maybe this time I can get the show quality CF pieces I have been looking for.

Is there anyone here that has actually used this guy, or has seen his work?

thanks

prolly not here Doug, just joined here and have yet to make many Ducati parts but i can steer you in the right direction of other forums, ebay, and elsewhwhere to see a near perfect trader rating on all of them

i am not sure of being able to do all of the parts and will have see them closer to tell you for sure but some of them look rather easy

problem is most of the vendors, sponsors on most of these forums sub out their work and hardly any, if any actually make any of the parts they sell and getting custom parts like you are asking for is tough for them unless they have a huge up front investemnt to tool up with CNC molds and stuff

please shoot some pics for me and i will be glad to try to help, in fact looking forward too it

Here is a 1098 front fender i tried my hand at- 175 grams

also, a plain weave 998 corge large swingarm cover i copied for a few guys
