SB6R fairing
Yep guys I bought this SB6R from some guy on E-Bay and he didnt think it was important enough to mention the front fairing was cracked on both sides by the mirrors , he listed it as a MINT bike. I disagree, any help or direction would be greatly appreciated, thanks Tim. BTW is this a common problem? looks like it could be since the mirror base is curved and the fairing is flat, so when the bolt is tightened it stresses it, any ideas, also this thing vibrates the mirrors at even modest speeds bad, prolly gonna have the fairing mirror supports reinforced.

First of all it is very common for people to mis represent bikes for sale and either "forget to mention" damage, cover up damage, or just lie about the condition of a bike for sale.
I have been screwed a few times by taking the word of not only private sellers but also by dealers selling used bikes.
With your SB6R bike; you may be able to either do a fiberglass repair and repaint of the damage, and/or have someone do it for you. There are a lot of places that specialize in this kind of thing. And it may well be cheaper than trying to find/buy a new one.
I have seen a number of SB6R body work items on Ebay over the years, so keep your eyes open and do frequent advanced searches and be sure to sure out side your country...do a world wide search. Frequently you can find items from overseas, even if they state they will not ship out of there area, I have found that if you contact them they will sell and ship around the globe especially if the price is right for them.
Good luck

I would think you could weld the plastic and match the paint. Find some one in your area that repairs and paints bikes with plastic farings. I local bike night would be a good place to find someone. If done right should look like new.

Try giving Airtech a call and see if they'd be interested in making a mold of your parts. They make quality bodywork and might feel there is a big enough market to warrant making the molds if they could find somebody willing to lend them the bodywork. I've been hoping they would make 6R tail pieces for sometime to use on another custom I have in mind.

Yoyodyne use to carry some Bimota racing items. I think they use to carry (and may still carry) aftermarket body work for the SB6/SB6Rad a few other Bims.
I think the website is;
www.yoyodyne.net
if this does not work Google "yoyodyne motorcycle accessories" and that should pull up the website on search.
I believe they are out of Florida USA. They also frequently advertize in RoadRacing World mag.
Good luck
