Selling my Bimota Supermono

Hi All,

Too many bikes in the garage, so (with sadness) I've decided that my Supermono needs a new owner. Very strong Ron Wood engine, low miles, $8,000 USD. Call or email for details.

Kevin & all,

I apologize for the brevity of my original post, but this DucatiMS Forum is officially not for selling bikes nor “non-Ducati powered Bimotas”, so I only posted the much abridged advertisement. I’m very pleased to offer many more details in another arena.

I’ll be taking some pictures later in the week as my schedule allows.

Thanks for your interest!
BA

Here are a few shots of my Supermono as promised. If anyone would like some detailed shots, or specific shots, simply contact me (info provided in my first posting).

I love the look of this machine, but I know nothing about it. Some background or additional info would be much appreciated. And, since this is the Bimota forum, I'd say go ahead and let 'er rip.

Seriously cool bike, imho. Love the right hand drive.

These slender bikes have a 650cc Rotax 4 valve single in them. It's the same motor used in the BMW F650GS, hence the official Bimota model nomenclature of "BB1" (Bimota-BMW, 1st Series). About 375 were ever built.

In original form (I've owned a stock one in the past) they're only blessed with about 48 flywheel hp. That is, in fact, the sole reason that I sold my 1st BB1....fun bike, but Scotty's always yelling when you need "more power".

The BB1 I'm selling today has been "fixed" with a Ron Wood built motor (K&N's/flatslides/high compression/porting/exhaust) that just hauls *ss. Exactly what the bike needed and what Bimota should have done in the first place. Really sweet.

One other sick little detail is that the fuel tank is underneath the engine for better weight distribution.

There's a ton more in the tome "25 Years of Bimota".

Classic bike and well sorted too.

Why am I thinking of spending 60% of your asking price on a Moto Corse exhaust again?

That is a really cool looking bike. I haven't seen it before. I bet it would be a fun bike for my mountainous area. Me Likey
