Introduction

I'm the owner of a db-2 tricolore, having been led down this garden path by Il Capo. Am a sufferer of MLI, though not as bad a case as il Capo's.

Here's my Bimbo:

But I am contemplating selling her. Really need a modern bike to keep the miles off the one in my sig, and this one:

I'd have the pics posted, but the images wouldn't upload

Welcome, nice DB2 looks like the one in my garage. Is your bike the one in the pictures from the Italian bike event in Elkhorn Wisconsin? I went too it this last June hopping to see some bimota's, but there was a poor turnout. It seems when the roads are flooded a lot of the bikers stay home.

That's the one! It was @ Elkhorn for July's get-together. Eric and I were the guys who got that thing started.

Hey Gene,

Nice to see you "out and about" as it were. (I'm Craig Kenfield, used to hang around on the bevelheads list, rebuilt a 750 GT)

So... how much are DB2s selling for these days? I'm jonesing for a mid '90s 900ss but have always been intrigued by Bimotas.

Gene

You do not sell Ducati you only buy them. Repeat after me. You do not sell Ducati you only buy them. =/8^]

No telling what a db2 is worth because there are so few and they are so seldom for sale. I have seen db4 sell in the last year or so and they went for high $9K to $11K as far as I can tell. They seem to sit for a long time before someone buys them. Not a good bike to sell if you are in a hurry. Hard bike to find if you are in a hurry.

Hello Gene, welcome to the group. I was looking for a long time for my DB2 and though I found 7 or 8 listed, world wide, most were in the $11-15K range.
I ended up paying 13K for mine, perhaps you remember Christian from Mikapeak. That cost does not include the trip to Europe or the shipping back to Canada. It did not work out with your bike because you never gave me a price, just a ball park. You also seemed reluctant to sell. Anyhow none of that matters, I hope you find a buyer
