Price when new

Just a straw pole to find out the price, when new, of Bimotas. I found some examples of DB2's in Germany for 93 and 94. The range is 27000DM to 33000DM or (based on historic exchange rates) US$16000 to US$21000.

A 91 Dieci was $27000, the same year Tesi 1D a cool $40Grand.
A 94 SB6 cost just over $20000US or a YB9 for about $15G US.

In 1995, the year all Bimota fans were stunned to see the Mantra and rushed out to buy. It would have set you back £12750 or about $20US, at the time. Now all of you can be honest and fess up to having a DB3 in your living room!

The V-Due is one I'd like to know what was first paid, as I find the article price of $18000 - 21000 to be cheap.

Please speak up original buyers.

I think my '94 DB2 was around $16KUSD. I added the carbon slip ons later for a couple grand more. A lot of money for two cans and a y pipe but it was the only game in town and may still be.

The price that was paid at time of purchase really varies. I know of Dieci's that sold for $10,000 in the box. They were bought for less by the person selling them. 18,000-21,000 is about what a V-due sold for, you must remember it was to be a high volume bike. I was told my DB2 sold for $20,000 with the carbon exhust and Mavic wheels, inline with what Shat had stated.
