Re = BIMOTA factory remaking Older Bimata's Fairings
Does anyone make Aftermarket fairings For Bimota's in general ?
I heard of the possibility of BIMOTA factory remaking Older Bimata's Fairings !?!
In case of damage , how does everyone get New Fairings ?
... Used on ebay ? ... Just aftermarket ? ... Only able to repair the same fairing ?
Would the full Carbon-fiber REAR on the SB6R, (being one complete piece )
be impossible to find if it got dinged hit or Damaged in some way ?
Its almost seams too much of a responsibility to ride ,
One instance , and One is S.O.L. .!

At least with Ducati , ( however expensive Fairings may be) it can be repaired .!
This may just take all the Fun right out of it for me ,
as any misjudged tire grip leads to a Catastrophic conclusion !

I hear what you're saying and think I have seen posts about it some place. Mind you there are so many web sights I have looked through it is not funny anymore. I think this came up on the http://micapeak.com/
I was also on some Japanese web sites today and thought I saw a Bimota parts listing, but my Japanese is about as good as my Klingon.
If you find something write back.

Bimota remaking fairings for older models
While visiting the factory late last year, I was told that the factory does have fairing moulds for some of the older models. They did not hold the db1 fairing moulds at that time but "knew where they were".
I got the impression that they would make new fairings for older models if asked.
It might be worth an enquiry.

Yes , Definitely worth asking ...
BUT that kinda scares me ... One off faring builds ...

I guess that old saying really applies : " IF I have to ask , I cant afford it" !

Hold the phone, here is a hope in hell site: http://www.bimota.it/ricambi_eng.htm
By the time I find my DB2 I'll be a semi expert on world wide Bimota sites.

I think Ken Livingston in New Zealand has a DB1 with a Monster 900 engine for sale ( http://desmosocal.com/showthread.php?t=578) and he has extra molds for the bodywork as well.
If anyone wants his e-mail please PM me.
