A few DB4 questions?

1) For you that have put radial clutch masters on, what did you do about the choke lever? Currently it is mounted on the clutch master, but the radials don't have the mounting tabs for a choke lever.

2) How much slack are you running on the Chain with the bike? On the kickstand or a rear center stand? No info in the manual, and there is only a caution sticker on the chain guard.

3) There are no rear wheel alignment marks when adjusting the chain? I guess I will use a string from the swingarm pivot to the rear axle. Anybody tried the lazer alignment tool? or any thing else.

Thanks

1. There is no choke if it is a injected, just a fast idle could just crack throttle a little when starting. If it is carbed just make a bracket for a push pull knob and mount it some where out of sight
2. 25mm midway between sprockets should be fine, looser then tighter is better.
3. When wheel is off the groung turn and watch the rear sprocket and chain. When you adjust the axle and turn the wheel the front of the sprocket will move side too side, the wheel is centered when the sprocket teeth are in the center of the chain. Just move the axle oneway then the other when you are turning the wheel and you will see the first teeth on the sprocket moving side too side, just center.

THANKS ZAWA,

Yes it is the Injected one. I will just remove the choke assy. On the 25mm chain adjustment, is that on the sidestand or having the rear wheel off the ground?

The chain would be the tightest at the ends of suspension travel. You should be fine on a rear stand. Again a little looser is better then to tight. I would also try starting the bike using just the throttle to see how easy it would be and getting some practice at it.
