V Due

Well even if you bought it would there not be a problem to import it? Or are all Bimota's made to an international spec so each country can get them?

No two strokes meet the USA federal emission requirements. So it is illegal to run one of these on the streets here.

Tell that to my pops with his Aprilia RS two fiddy and Honda NSR two fiddy..... both have clear titles

If there is a will, there is a way. I'm sure it would be a PITA to get it titled but it could be done.

Like I said, it is illegal, but it can be done. We had one here in California and it had to be sent back Once it has been turned down in California, it won't get registered here.

Once its titled its legal

Wisconsin is a bit more lax on the polution standards than Cali. I've seen all kinds of neat two strokes at our local bike spot including those 4 cyl Suzukis that were never brought in legally period. (RG500 or something like that)

Heck, just the other day I saw a 95 RS250 for sale on flea bay in Illinois.... I was tempted but my funds said "no effin way dude"

Actually NO.

Once it is registered in any state that state has the right to rescind the street legal plate, and remove the "on-Road" status.
I know, as I have been registering and riding many high-end 2 strokes and weird 4 strokes here in California since 1983. And have watched the state pull plates, and even impound vehicles permanently.

But there are ways with many bikes, just do not expect to run a perfectly cherry V-due on the streets of California legally, cannot happen, but many other 2 stroke can be.......

Cheers
M
