Ducatierv, You should be able to use a front wheel off one one your ducks 916-998. I think the rotor offset is different on some of the R models so check if different use rotors off the YB11. You will need a spacer to take up where the speedometer drive was 25mm axle and I think 6mm wide, I used some 1" machine washers I think three off them. They are about 1.1/3 inch in dia. just enuff to cover the inner bering race, than stock YB11 spacer. I'am telling you this so you can check if there is improvement. Also sag on the front forks, if you grab your bike to move it backwards and you feel it really come up the springs are to soft. Some where between 15mm-25mm. is where it should be. Pm me and I will get you my number so could answer your?. John

Here is a picture of the spacer I made to fill the hole were the speedo drive goes goes, it still uses the Y11 spacer. Made it to look like a bearing.

Zawa, thanks for this... I am considering whether to replace the whole front end on the YB11 with 06 GSXR1000 as the forks are pretty heavy in comparison. Did you ever look into this type of upgrade?

You can do anything it just takes time and money and will the results be worth it. I put forks off a 996 on my Dieci, It all looked so easy as the forks would seem to just fit right ito the yokes. As they were both 53mm but when it came right down to it one was 52.7mm and one was 53.3mm and that was just the begining of the problems.
If I was to race the bike would do what ever it took to make it better. For nice early Sunday morn. rides I just want it to work right. I think the forks are what makes the YB11 different from the other YB's so this is why I tryed to make them work. It is now a much different bike and enjoy riding it.
In hindsight whish I would have made the Zokes on the Dieci work. I just acquired a SB6R and the first few rides thought it was so-so after putting on some mag. wheels it became a totaly different bike very nimble and quick turning. I feel light wheels are the best thing you can do to a bimota everyone that I have done has made the bike much better.

I have owned 3 YB11's and they all possessed the mid corner "hunting" front end and what was strange that my SB6R also did the same thing? I think not only is the heavy wheel an issue but also the std tires that were fitted - "Hi-Sports" had a great deal to do with it also.
