How Fast is a well ridden SB8R, or 'These Guys are Nuts!'

I am sorry if this has been posted before, but it shows that a well-ridden SB8R was clearly 'state of the art' and capable of running with, or ahead, of the then current Ducati Superbike, a 996R.

See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJ_GVQRRCGg Two wackos playing MotoGP or WSB on some interesting narrow, public roads and moving up to some mountain roads, with an ending that looks scary at first, but the final comments are hysterical. Proves that an SB8R was, and is, no mere poser bike. Also proves that some riders are just plain wacko, especially what I presume are a pair of British motojournalists from the sound track. Dave

Vid

Yeah thats an oldy but goody, those two tools are lucky at the end esp. the one that hit the wall. If it had just been a few more inches he would have been buzzard bait in the canyon.

Those are the boys from British bike mag "FastBikes"...used to be a good read until they started believing their own hype. That's from one of their DVD's, they released a couple...

Cool vid to watch, crazy though. If I'm not mistaken, the guy with the patchwork colored helmet died several years ago. Gus or something was his name. Sad.

One of them was Rob Frost can not think of the others name. Both rode some British Superbike and some world SuperSport. The same year I think Shane Byrne sucked a Hayabusa for five miles on a SB8R. There is a rumour that something like this was going on in Central Florida yesterday but again just a rumour. Also another rumour is that BMW law enforcement bikes can do over 125 mph again just a rumour.

All I will say is Ohlins suspension can handle a amadillo at speeds in excess of 100mph.

No got dem here in Cheeseland. Don't think my Ohlins will handle a deer at 100, of course either will the front end of a Hummer. Dave
