Thanks for the detailed report. Now that wasn't so bad was it?
I think it was me who told you about choke cable? Hmm...I thought it was all Suzuki switch gear? Let me know how you make out with the cable as I would need to replace on mine eventually. Also need to replace low fuel sensor, but not sure WHERE I can even find that part!!
As mentioned, haven't spent much time on the SB6, so once I have more time with it, I will post some more info!
Can't wait to see more pics from the All Italian bike show!

Hi frordye,
i see i was bidding against you for the SB6 workshop manual on ebay....
I asked about filling the motor with oil, do you know much about the filler plug? Mine seems to be a rubber bung with a allen key bolt into it I am a bit worried about trying to remove it incase it has a nut or washer that will fall into the engine cases, can you or any one enlighten me
I hope to make the Italian show, it just depends if the bike is back together.
Cheers
Steve

Did you get the manual on ebay?! I hope so - that way at least I can get a photocopy of it!!
Sorry - I can't really tell you much about the SB6 yet (no time to ride = no time to investigate anything!). Perhaps Dave or Zawa (or anyone?) can help shed some light?
Come to think of it, maybe there's some info on the net on the GSXR motor? Maybe that can of SOME help? I am in the dark as much as you are!
Good luck with the oil plug! Let us know how you get on.

SB6, It my be a plug made of hard plastic or rubber with a steel center. I would just turn it a few turns and see what happens, it will ether start to unscrew out, or the allen fitting will get looser and then try to pry the plug out. Just go slow.

Very nice bike. I just bought this one last week, from Bob at Bimota Spirit here in NC. It's the bike that I've always wanted.
The bike is nearly flawless. Wonderful transaction. Bob was excellent to deal with. I would recommend anyone who is serious about finding a Bimota to call Bob.
