Bimota DB4 Belt Change

Anybody know if you have to drop or tilt the motor for a Timing belt change? The vertical looks very tight with the frame in the way?

Thanks

Didn't have to do it on the DB2, and looking at the 2 and my 4, the clearances are only a bit tighter on the later. Can't say for sure as it was already freshly-done when I got the DB4.

Tilt the motor much easier in the long run.

Any special things to look out for while tilting the motor - example- remove exhaust or just slip ons, remove all engine mounting bolts except swingarm. Disconnect XXX wires & plugs. etc. tribal knowledge is appreciated.

Make sure chain is loose
Take off sprocket cover
Disconnect the shifter from motor
If you can take off muffler this my be enough, just keep checking as motor is tilted.
All connectors, just keep checking as you lower motor for things that have to be disconnected our moved.
Go slow, it is not hard just slow in learning all the little tricks of your bike.
I have done it both ways on the DB2 it is much easier this way.
You do leave the swingarm bolt in place, the motor pivots on it.
