Well, you have a 749S, so you can't really complain now, can you?

Yeah, the Tesi 3 is nice, but it looks...hmm...too "normal" with fairings on. Much prefer the 2D or the Vyrus - looks absolutely outrageous (which it should).
Not many people know about it, but the Typhonos( http://www.tryphonos.com) is a superior hub steering system to the one on the Tesi, for it's simplicity and directness (the Typhonos has only 2 bearings in its system whereas the Tesi has 8).

I like the 3D better if for no other reason than the front steering looks (IMHO) more in tune with the rear trellis assembly, more of a 'unit' design than the 2D. But, of course, that is personal taste. Dave

My first Bimota
Just received a new 2000 DB4ie (Ducati Injected) from Bob @ Bimota Spirit. Wow what a nice bike, looking forward to breaking it in today. It feels big compared to my Supermotard Cannondale (with clipons and lowered) Only thing I will probably add is a MotoCorse or Ferracci exhaust. A little nervous about the belts because they are 7 years old with zero miles, but I think I will wait for the 600 mile service to do them.

Good luck with your DB4. As for the belts it's a tuff call, my 900ss at 3000miles rear belt was shredding, bike was 3 years old at the time. Try to get the covers off look for cracking and feel the belts to see if they are soft not hard. If you could PM with what you paid, I would appreciate it.

I feel out of touch...who is Bob @ Bimota Spirit?
John, if you're ever up in the Malibu area...I'm 5-10 minutes away from the Rock Store (definately 5 minutes on a DB4!)....stop on by & show off that machine sometime!

[QUOTE=Bruce_Allison]I feel out of touch...who is Bob @ Bimota Spirit?
Bob Steinbugler of Bimota Spirit. http://www.bimotaspirit.com
The last few months I have been going up to the rock store on the Cannondale on Sundays. I used to do it 25 years ago and getting back into it. The problem with the Cannondale is the freeway, kind of tapped out, but a blast on Latigo.
I looked at a new 2000 Db4ie up in Nor Cal, but the seller changed his mind on selling it. I don't blame him. It was the Yellow and Black colors and I ended up with the Silver and Red. Both are Biposta's (which makes my wife happy) with the ducati fuel injection.
I will probably be at the Rock Store this Sunday for breakfast (if my belts look good).

Bob is a very nice fellow to deal with, the source of my DB5. He is a current Bimota dealer and has one of the finest collections of Bimotas, street and race versions, in this country or anywhere else. Go to his site for the list of his extensive personal collection. Also a good source for current and NOS Bimota parts. Dave
