I was asked this same question on the Bimota emailing list, so I've copied my answer below:

I've never raced or tracked my Tesi (although original owner Jeff Schwartz did race it a few times) so I don't have any really valuable input.

On the street, with normal riding, you really don't notice anything unusual.

With spirited riding I've noticed some bump steer, which is terribly odd for a motorbike!
Also noticed is the lack of brake dive.

Otherwise, for a bike of this era it's a wonderful and "normal" motorcycling experience.

I owned a 1 dsr and played with an es. The comments above are fairly accurate. The early ones were poorly set up and the front end components had a fair amount of slop and excessive tolerances. The later (sr and forward) utlized a better system, but still needed to be setup correctly and the tolerances kept correct. My biggest gripe was the LCD/Electronic dash, which was not simply and instrument reading issue, but the heart of the injection system. I had a fair amount of issues with those and multiple replacements. I think the new Tesi 3d, with the lighter, trellis-framed front suspension and overall simplified build may be a very interesting ride. Dave
