DB2 difference
Not a big deal but I'm curious,
My DB2 has a small parking light above the headlight and a couple of forum member's bikes do not. Does anyone know the details on that?

I've been curious about the same thing. I originally thought it was a '93 vs. '94 thing, but that doesn't seem to be the case as both your DB2 and mine are '94 models and only 6 VIN #'s apart. I've also seen a bunch of '93 bikes with the light, but Jim's '93 doesn't have it.

Hey it's Italian and they installed what came down the line.
Actually Gene crashed his bike and when he put it back together he bought a Euro headlight so maybe the other light came with it. Jim

The headlamp is supposed to be a Yamaha unit and is seperate from the parking light. I'll take another look at it and see if there are any markings on the lens. If I did it right there will be a pic of the DB2 and my F1 attached.

The DB2 made for europe, to the best of my knowledge, was made with the extra small light above the head light. Mine has it because it is from Germany. Gene's had it because he wanted it and did some sort of conversion (or at least that is my understanding I do not know the details).
"All" the DB2's I have seen in europe, on sales web sites, have the light but none imported by Bimota into NA have it (as far as I know). Even the Japanese market seems to have them.
Why? Why not, it must have been a design difference or perhaps it is some legal requirement for lighting in the US.
I would think Bob from Bimota Spirit may know.

Another weird difference was stated on a Bimota forum when I posted a couple of pictures of my bike. Apparently, they've never seen folding footpegs in the non-USA countries, but instead, they have a non-folding version.

I agree with Capo, it depends on the day it was built and what mood the builder was in

I'm going with the "it's a European thing". In some metropolitain parts of
Europe I understand the streets are so well lit the law is that you drive only with "city lights" or something like that.
Heck, I'm not even sure that little light works on my bike.....
