My DB2 has arrived
I took the plunge too but only with a DB2.
The truck delivered it yesterday and I've only ridden it to the gas station and back but this feels like it's going to be a fun bike.
Does anyone know if any DB2's had California certification? I can't find any evidence of CARB approval and might run into problems registering it. It's certainly old enough that the DMV should care but it's only got 4000 miles and we have a 7500 mile minimum for a 'out of state' transfer.
Gotta do a little overtime tomorrow (Sat) but I'll be sure to put in a few miles on Sunday.

Nice to hear! I hope you'll be happy with your DB2
Is it an ordinary red and white with full fairing or is it some of the more exotic models?

You should enjoy it, riding or just looking at it.

We needs pix! Lots of them!
Congrats on the purchase. I've actually been working on purchasing a DB2 for the last 2-3 weeks. If all goes well, I'll finalize the deal in a couple of hours (edit - done. Just have to arrange shipping, now).

Thanks all,
I used Federal to ship. We've used them a few times in the past year and have been pleased with the service. I had this bike shipped from Wisconsin to the SF Peninsula and it was about $685 with the AMA discount, door to door.
I've been talking with the previous owner about this bike for about a year. I had to sell my Darmah SS to make space first. I have some photos on my work computer and will try to get some up on Monday. It's a Tri-Colore. I understand the US importer had 33 or something like that painted in this scheme. Titled as a '94 but it has carbs so I suspect it's actually a '93.
I just brought it home on a trailer from the shop so If you'll excuse me, I think I'm going to put on my boots and take it out for a short spin.

Is this the one that was listed for sale on the forum about a year or so ago?

It could be. Gene first let me know it was for sale about a year ago. He had it on ebay at the beginning of the year and it didn't meet reserve. I know he was advertising it in a few other places.
My "get aquainted ride" was great. I did about a 10 mile loop through the local hills. I'm 5'7" and the ergos are a bit more of a stretch than my F1. I didn't ride hard but the handling is light and stable. I'm going to enjoy this bike but need to get used to clip-ons again. Park the Hypermotard and ride the Bimota or F1 more often. I'm postponing getting older too so I can enjoy this bike for a while.

It won't take long for you to get used to it. Any time I am off my 748 for a prolonged period of time, it usually takes me a few hundred miles to get used to the riding position...I do have SBK clipons on my ST2, also, though.

Your DB2 has carbon fiber clipons!
