DB 2 or DB4?
That is the question. In fact, that may be a silly question to begin with, as going for either one may not be the 'smartest' choice for an everyday bike to begin with.
I'm new here, so please bear with me. I've taken a quick look in the existing topics but didn't quite find an answer for the kind of question above. I'm curious about both. At first I was eyeballing DB2, even though I later almost made my mind up for DB4. That is, to get one as soon as I can afford one.
But... I could get a DB2 for less, and it looks great, too, possibly even better, with (almost) the same engine and design and...
Well, looks like there are people here who have actually been riding both, or even own either one, so why don't you tell me. I'm curious about all sorts of details and anecdotes, so please, share your thoughts, let's talk about those two Ducati powered Bimotas. What are the main differences between the two, and the pros and cons of going for either direction? Other than availability and price, obviously. Why did you choose either one?
Allora, che cosa pensate, Bimotisti?

Ciao ragazza.
Nope, it wasn't, but your choosing the first model could make an interesting story, anyway.
Well, I think the motive to start the topic, even though maybe not that well thought of one, is the notion that I could scrape off the dough needed to buy a '93 DB2 but then I saw this newer DB4 that caught my attention and interest. But alas, it's currently slightly over my budget, so some extra saving or other form of extra income/funding is needed. Both of those bikes seem to have some interesting details in them, so I am wondering whether or not the older DB2 model could be a nice enough substitute for the DB4, and so on. The DB4 on the other hand, is slowly making its way 'under my skin,' so... Looks-wise, they're both pretty attractive. But indeed, feel free to share your thoughts, too.

DB1 !!! DB1 !!!! LOL.. well actually I've always liked the looks of a DB2 over the DB4, but I love the 4's two side pipes. But either bike will be just as sweet !!! um... get them both???

Umm, yeap, that would be the ideal choice, I'm working on it.
Meanwhile, why don't you guys post your own riding and owning experiences for both. What kind of mods you may have done, etc.
As for the double shooter in DB4, yes, they sort of look cool, but then, looks like it's a 2-to-1 pipeline which splits into two only just before the cans, which woud possibly make it more bling-bling with extra weight than the ideal silencer solution.
Or does someone know better? Why the two cans, is it for the looks and possibly exhaust note only, or what's with the double cans?
Oh and btw, is there any 'storage' room under the seat or inside the tail, or is it just a hollow monoposto hump behind the seat? Looks like the answer is pretty clear in the case of DB2, though...
