DB1 Tyres

After years of tippy toeing around on my DB1S due being unable to buy new 16" 60 profile tyres, I finally found a usable pair on Ebay.
Michelin and Pirelli who made the original tyres stopped making them years ago and have refused to make another batch despite large orders from DB1, Belt-drive 750 Sport and Paso owners.
The tyres I bought are from a batch made in Spain after the French & Italian factories stopped production. They are new, have no age cracks and the compound is still pliable. I'll still be taking it easy until I am confident with the new tyres.

I'm going to try the Avon Azaro-STs - if only I can find someone to ship them to me in Hong Kong!

I considered doing that but as the bike is very original I didn't want to modify it. I was just about to fit an early Fireblade front tyre and an Avon 150/80/16 rear when the Michelin tyres came up. I only ride the Bimota about once a fortnight as I have other motorcycles to ride so these tyres should last some time.
I'm still living in hope that Michelin or Pirelli will eventually see there is sufficient demand from DB1, Paso, early 851 and belt drive 750 Sport owners to warrant a new batch of 60 profile 16" tyres.

Easy swap and BST Motowheels lighter. Kept all parts to restore later. Handles better than original which is bonus!

Which wheels fit the DB1? What else is needed for the swap?

On this other forum in the UK I found this post:
Bimota Forum :: View topic - DB1 tyre availability
From reading it there seems to be some tires available that would work.
