Zero Gravity Tech Question...

OK..Now that you guys have answered all my questions about lowering the bike... I'm back with a new question that I could NOT find the answer to by doing a search...

I want to replace the factory windscreen with one by Zero Gravity. My question is... is the 2006 front fairing/windshield the same as the 04's and 05's?? No changes?? I ask because the Twisted Throttle website only lists the ST3 shields up to 2005... Rather than call and ask them, I figured you guys would know more about Ducatis than them... What say ye?

BTW.. Just this am I put down a deposit on an 06 black (non-abs) ST3.. WooHoo!! They're having to ship it in so it'll be here in about a week to 10 days.. Felt lucky getting it as (I was told) there are only a handful of black (non-ABS) left in the US and they will not be offering an ST3 in black for 07.. Good timing.. My wife took a test ride with me and amazingly.. she LOVED it.. said it was even more comfy than my old K1200RS... Done deal!

I have bought 2 zero gravity screens and each time I just called the factory off there website and ordered. I would bet the 06 is the same as 04,05

I'm quite sure the 04-06 models are the same. However, I'd suggest asking your dealer to look up a factory windshield and see if they list the same part number. You can also check with the folks at the manufacturer, http://www.zerogravity-racing.com/ and see what they say.

You can also look up parts on ducati.com, and they list "Fits On" and it will show model years, etc.

Thx all... A buddy in the biz says he thinks it's the same part# for the 06...

but on second thought.. before I go and start changing s#*& I think I'll put a few miles on it and then decide what I need... a standard SR replacement might be just fine.. or that double bubble LOOKS very sexy...

Again.. appreciate the opinions... Very helpful.

Zero Gravity did not work

I ordered a Zero Gravity ST screen for my 05 ST3; when it arrived I eagerly went about the process of installing it. When I got it into place I noticed that the new screen had "spread" the outer fairing and the inner black fairing.
The ZG screen had one hell of an arc or bow in the lip that slides in-between the inner/outer fairings. This spreading was quite significant, to the point that it looked as though over time cracks would develop due to the stress on both the inner and outer fairings.

Needless to say I returned the screen and have yet to receive a refund or another screen! It has been 2 months now! I will not buy from them again.

I have a 2006 ST3 and just put on a ZG double bubble light smoke. Happy with the fit and finish and it did a nice job on the airflow from the chin down at high speeds. I ordered direct from ZG after sending them an email to confirm with them it was indeed the same....

Does anyone know if a Laminar Touring Lip will fit on a ZG Touring Screen?

Does anyone know the price difference between the ZG and the Ducati replacement shields...I was just wondering how significant the difference would be as I'm considering a replacement since the dealer scratched mine (but I can't prove that).

It seems some have had fitment issues with the ZG?

Thanks.
