Psa: 2000 st4 $2500

Browsing CL and came across a 2000 ST4 with 14k miles for $2500 in Chattanooga. I know nothing about the bike, but certainly worth a call if anyone is looking for a 1st gen ST.

Looks nice ! I wonder what's wrong with it ? I'd buy it if I could get there.

Quite possibly the only thing that's wrong with it is that the general public has no idea what to do with a sport-touring Ducati.

I only know of two Ducatis with over 200,000 miles, and one of them is a 2000 ST4.

There are more than a few of these deals out there right now.
Many have a ton of nice bits on them that make them vary desirable.
This one has some miles on it but as we know 50k is just getting broken in, and look at the list of stuff on it and what's in the pics, like billet chain adjusters and what look to be wave rotors, (oh and it's an "S"). Nice bang for the buck!

Dang. I would almost drop $2500 just to have a little variety. New belts, valve check, maybe tires, and ROLL OUT!

Many would shy away from any 17-year old bike.

If it was current on maintenance and the luggage was included, I'd say it was a decent deal. Otherwise, not so much...
