Went for a ride with buddy Dean. He pulled me over because of leaking oil.
It was coating the rear tire. Not good.
Couldn't see exactly where it originated. When parked on side stand it drained from center section of the bottom of the fairing.
I went home carefully. I again parked it and again a puddle.
I pulled the skin off, re-tightened the oil filter, drain bolt and screen bolt. They weren't the cause.
With the skin off, I went for a ride and parked it at home. This time I could see it was leaking from the air filter box drain tube. The one with the distinctive end to be sandwiched between the fairing halves.
I pulled the air filter box and filter and the inside of the box was wet. The TBs weren't showing any excessive oil. I'm baffled. Don't know how it is getting there.
The bike runs great when on road or at idle.
I suppose my next step is to ride it w/o skin and w/o air box filter to see if anything develops.
Suggestions?
