my buddy Marv
For those of us who marv-el at my buddy Marv, I don't think his riding at age 71+ is a fluke of nature. Marv is in very good shape. I don't know whether or not he exercises, but he does not smoke or drink. From what I have seen on our road trips, he eats very sensibly.
I think we can all take a lesson from Marv and should take steps towards healthier lifestyles if we too want to be riding in our 70's. I can't remember who said it (it sounds like something Mark Twain would say), but we should recall the old saying, "If I had known I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of myself."

So true Bill. And BTW, you've gotta get more of the ST riders in the 50's group to respond to the poll !
Those punks in their 40's now seem to be the most populous group. Which of course is absurd. Everybody knows that great rider performance isn't achieved until one's fifties and later. Sure....you were going to mention something about that guy named Rossi and his kind, but they are just a statistical anomaly and ride damn few miles a year.
Overpaid too ! heh !

Jeepers its getting rather personal isn't it ? I cant say to much that might turn around and bite me in a years time as I am turning 49 next month. So I would be basically crapping on myself. But if you can wait a year I can cross over to the Dark side with you .
Now Bevel 450 do you have a few pictures of your Norton and 888 you can share ?

ha ! we 50's boys are back on top !
i'm 57 and my newly acquired 2002 st2 will be six this coming august. this past sunday , we handed out a few surprises to some of the local go-fast boys. riding with the wife in tow ,hard bags and all, the humble st2,newly shod, raised suspension, performed flawlessly. 500lb weight and all...quite nimble.what a fun bike .just as much fun in the 'curvas' as my my 900ss .you boys should have seen the face of the go-fast boys when the st2 porker ducati riders uncloaked, revealing grey hair and one sporting a white beard !
i noticed in the st pix section something like 330 posts and 35 k views.on the poll section, however, there's only 150 or so members taking part in this poll. surely, more fogeys are to be found around here somewhere...
