Broke front brake lever in half............
The bike fell over today and I've snapped the front brake lever in half. I know inquiring minds want to know how it happened so here you go. I'm riding home from work on only two hours sleep from the night before, I'm hot & sweaty, dehydrated, half asleep, light headed, rear tire has a nail and is just sly of being flat and I attempted a slow first gear turn to the right on a fairly steep downhill incline so that I could pull up to the air station. I couldn't turn more to the right as the bars wouldn't move any further. Speeding up wasn't an option due to the slope. Once I knew I was going down I just hit the brakes so that I would at least be stopped when I hit the concrete. Everything is fine except for a couple very minor fairing dings and the brake lever. Needless to say I'm going to need a replacement lever. Any idea of where I can find a used one?

Sorry to hear about your tip-over ... when it happens it's a horrible feeling
Years ago I was in a hurry to drop off a rented movie and I "slow-dropped" my GSF1200S in the parking lot when I swung the sidestand out and attempted to lean it over with the sidestand right over a massive pothole. I caught it just a second too late and it was slightly too much momentum for my leg power to stop, so it did a sloooow motion drop. A clutch lever later and it was only a bad memory

The brake lever itself is silver and it has "Brembo" embossed into it. Is the one you have OEM?
