Color Schemes
Hello
I was not too much of a fan of the "flames" either. But, to each his own....
I'm currently in the process of creating my own "tricolore" ST4s...My original "Arrest-me-red" bike is steadily losing her colors. I had originally planned to go with a Senna motif with stock grey wheels, but currently have matte grey seat and tail pieces, tank, and upper side fairings which need to be repainted. While they are getting worked, I have the original red side fairing pieces w/ C/F air ducts installed.
I just installed my new C/F "Comfort Fairing Kit", so added a Senna Ducati Designs headlight nacelle (Thanks, Mr. Geller) and matte grey chin piece.
On the way are black lower fairing pieces and center "vee" piece. Black pannier trim pieces are installed.
The mirror trim and upper side fairing pieces I think I may leave red, along with the Corbin seat trim.
So, my bike is currently matte grey/carbon fiber across the top (except for the mirror trim) red in the fairing center, and soon to be black across the bottom.
I saw the MV Agusta (or was it Aprillia?) race bikes had the grey lower w/ red upper and I thought that looked pretty good, so I reckoned I'd give the different colored fairing sections a try. I have to say, I kinda like it. Even my wife, who is really picky about color coordination and stuff, agrees that it looks pretty good.
I was starting to suffer from the "TMR" syndrome anyway...(Too Much Red)
I'll post pic's as soon as my black lowers come in and it gets temporarily complete...
respectfully posted,
