Headlight High Beam Bulb Popping

The bulb for the blue light on my 2000 ST4 instrument panel keeps popping. I have replaced the bulb 3 times since early December. The headlight itself works fine on both dim and high settings, but the bulb pops within 2 or 3 uses of engaging a high beam setting.
I have checked the obvious connections but have found nothing that looks or feels wrong.
Any suggestions ?

Vibrations? Something loose causing the gauge cluster to rattle?
Or
Maybe you're driving at too low RPM to cause the condition above. In the taller gears, I try to make sure I'm ABOVE 4000 RPM.
