ST4s Natural Switch Replaced

Last November I was having problems starting my ST4s. I started to diagnose the problem and found if the side stand was down and in natural it wouldn’t start. With the side stand up there was no problem, but as soon as the side stand was down the engine died. When the engine was running and in natural I noticed the natural light was pulsing (flashing) almost in rhythm with the engine RPM’s. I checked the side stand switch with another old one I had with the same results. So off to the dealer I went to order a new natural switch. Eight weeks later (that’s what I get for ordering parts from Ducati before Christmas) and 15min of labor everything is now working properly again. Looking at the old switch there is a plunger that was worn down to half the normal length of the new one. With the natural light pulsing on and off I think the ECU was thinking the bike was in gear and wouldn’t start with the side stand down. Maybe this will help if anyone happens to see the same symptoms.
Great day for a ride, 72f in San Diego County

Natural light isn't that good, I prefer Miller light.

Hmm possibly, but for now I think I''ll have to sit neutral on the fence on that one.
It''s only natural

Great looking bike in your avatar Jack, post up a bigger pic.

I was looking towards a more homeopathic switch than a natural one.
