Wheels
I have given some thought recently as to upgrading my wheels. With so many folks upgrading their stock wheels I thought I might find a good deal on some take offs from a ST4$, monster or 749/999. Can anyone advise me on what is interchangeable? I'm concerned about such items as brake rotors, axles, wheel bearings ,cush drives etc... Just some info for future use would be most appreciated. I will be keeping the DSSA and the stock speedometer pick up from the early model ST series.

All Monsters 2002 and later use the 25mm front and rear axle but most are OEM 3 spoke. Monster S4, and M1000 have nice wheels that are direct bolt on to a ST2/ST4/ST4S.
749-999 front wheel uses a 15mm offset 5 bolt rotor, different spacing and the rear wheel is 30mm with different brake and sprocket offsets.

I have been wanting to do the samething and that rear has been on eBay for a couple of months. The market is not paying the price he is asking. The sets from the monsters and the ST4s's come up from time to time and you should expect to pay around $800 per pair. I have been on the fence a couple of time but when I include shipping and then having them powder coated the costs keep me from pulling the trigger.

Hello
I sold a pristine set of ST4S wheels about a year and a half ago for $500.00 plus shipping. Personally, I reckon that's about what they should go for, give or take fitty bucks or so....
I've seen some outrageous prices for stuff by vendors lately. Most of it is still available.
JMHO......

The Supersports I have seen use the small 19mm axle.
