ST4s brake pad Q
Hi to all,
a quick Q, has anyone used 4 pads on the 2 securing pin calipers?
If Yes, any part Nr available, any difference in performance, could it solve the brake judder?

Hello
I use them on a couple of bikes, in conjunction with full-floating rotors.
I believe the floating rotors have much more to do with eliminating the brake judder than the calipers.
The four-pad calipers do offer some terrific braking grip, though.

IMHO......
I have never heard of anyone ever using 4 pad, pads on a 2 pin caliper, as the way the 4 pad, pads mount into those/their calipers they are secured on each side, and installing them into a 2 pin caliper would leave them floating in a weird way that seems very unsafe.....

Thank you mbevans,
that's what I was thinking, unless someone would cut the one piece into two. Then it would leave only a minimal gap between the two pieces.
But that would be a very serious modification and a dangerous one, too.
I have a few sets of pads and I am working with the idea of doing it.
Thanks again

Yeah I was in the same boat. I had a few sets of 4 pad, pads, and had long since sold my 4 pad calipers. I ended up selling them for pennies just to clear them off the shelf.
Yet I do embrace changing to floating rotors for the 2 pin calipers, or changing the buttons out.
Ducati should have never adopted their semi-floating rotors from Brembo for use on many of their bikes.
The buttons that MotoWheels sells are a great way to go, unless you want to buy new floating rotors.
