The Weather
Took the bike out today up thru 180 into the Sequoia's and it was perfect riding weather.I can't believe what's up w/ this but i love it.Which you all could be here among these huge redwoods,i'm in gods country.

Yeah, it's been something all right... Not quite winter, not quite fall.
The weather in Southern Oregon has been conducive to riding, but our higher elevations have been getting ice at night, which means cinder cone during the day. Oh well! Still logging miles...just a bit slower and more cautiously than usual.

Cinder cone is what Oregon uses on ice and snow...it's basically crushed volcanic rock (which we have lots of...). It's red in color; you will most likely see it on the side of the road of any pass if you are travelling through. Much more friendly to the environment than salt and chemicals, but a pain in the ass to deal with none the less...
