clutch lever rotation

Ok I can't seem to find this answered...I see a bunch of clutch adjustment threads but not this one.

I want to rotate the clutch lever downwards on my 2002 ST4S. Looks like there are 2 allen head bolts that hold the assembly on. they are extremely tight and have white marks on them and the housing. So before i really bear down on them to loosen them.....are these white marks indication of a torque bolt? So do I just bust em rotate it and bolt it back up to the white marks?

Apologies for the basic question....I hate being a newb.

The paint marks are quick ref to see if the bolts are coming loose
must cost ducati a lot to keep putting it on.
The levers will have a split cotter/metal location dowel which can be pulled
out or filed down.
the switch clusters have a plastic peg on one half of the housing this can be filled off
so as to allow the switch to turn to.
If you want to turn the throttle it has a small peg on the underside clamp that fits into a
indent on the bar you can file the small peg off the inside of the underside clamp this will allow you to turn the throttle complete to get it in a nice location if required.

I have performed this mod and have had no issues for 9 years now. I would advise using Allen sockets if you can and or a good allen key. As with all Duke Allen bolts make sure the key is fully home. Just one foul rotation/rounding shall kill the bolt. BTW when they go they make a snap sound that shall make your heart skip !

Be sure to use the correct torque or you risk braking the unit.

Thanks guys.....so does anyone know the correct torque or can I just line up the white marks again? Also, it looks like the resevoirs will move when i rotate the levers...anyway around this as it doesnt look like a lot of room before I will start running into clearance issues?
