Clutch Master rebuild kit

Hi,

I need a clutch master rebuild kit for an '02 ST4s, does anyone know where in the UK I can get one?

I'll happily import for the US if needs be, but some suppliers are charging ridiculous P&P.

Having said I need a rebuild kit, is it worth upgrading to the 13mm 996 set up? I can get that brand new for around £125.

Advice help welcome.

Thanks chaps.

Tim

I only know of bevelheaven and yoyodyne from over here. You would need the tube tool to set the seal ring also, which drives the cost up somemore. It seems that Steve at bevelheaven supports the international folks very well.

That said, the rebuild kit didn't last long. I think I waited to long and ruined the bore in the process. There is a thread from me about it.

Afterward, I did upgrade to the 996 masters, as I enjoy the heavy cltuch pull. The lever and pivot are a better design that should give a longer life. So for me, it was a great upgrade.

It was an easy job except for the damn idle lever that is screwed into the side of the clutch master. You'll need to remove the grip and controls to get at it. At that point, I just removed it from the bike.

Have a good one.

TT Tim, if you want to try an aftermarket unit I will sell you an evolution cyclesports 28.5mm for $50.00 + shipping (org. $175.00). I used it for three short rides before switching to a different unit. Instruction pages are included. E-mail me at terrystenz@yahoo.com if interested.

I think he is needing a master, not a slave.
