I pick up my 07 ST3 tomorrow in St. Louis
It started innocently enough - a three hour ride from KC to St. Louis for a little St. Louis Blues hockey action.
It just so happens I was thinking about buying a Triumph Sprint GT and there was none to be found in KC but a couple of new ones were sitting on the showroom floor at Donelson Cycles in the St. Louis area.
Upon arrival at the dealership, it seems someone parked a pre-owned red Ducati ST3 quite inconveniently ... right on the path that led to the Triumph.
Long story short, I pick up the ST3 tomorrow in St. Louis. KC weather guys promise an almost 50' day on Saturday to get some riding time in before the winter blues.
Oh yeah, the ST3 looks forward to spending the winter with its garage mate, my 07 S4RS. A trip to the TX Hill Country in March has already been planned.
I look forward to the ST3 experience. From what I hear, it's going to a great one!!!

Great news Mike, welcome to the ST family
Don't forget to post some pics of the bike on your ride home with it.
How far's the journey btw ?
Mark.

Merry Christmas to you! Color? And yes, you'll have a BLAST on it. I think the ST3 comes with 15/42 sprockets, so you should be all set.

Not surprised you were seduced by the ST3 , you wont regret choosing it over the GT and certainly will notice the missing 50 Kg's when you hit the twisties !
Welcome to the ST club and ENJOY !

What time? I will be at Moto Europa for a good portion of the day getting my new tank installed. We could meet for lunch or ride back together as I am in Columbia....

I'm picking the ST3 up at 11am with a borrowed car and rented trailer and needing to haul arse back to KC. Can I get a raincheck? I travel over to St. Louis on a pretty regular basis... and I certainly would prefer to be riding instead of trailoring...

It's looking like it will probably be one of the last two weeks in March. Most of the guys/gals show up on Wed. and hang thru Friday or Saturday. It's a pretty laid back group of people most of whom I've known for 10+ years... they ride a bit of everything from BMWs to DUCS to Triumphs to Harleys (most own more then one bike). We usually stay at an all motorcycle hotel in Leakey, TX. I'll let you know when the details are sorted out...
