Automated Ducati Valve Adjustment Spreadsheet
While reviewing sites for information on Ducati valve adjustments,I came across this site that had a good example on all the measuring requirements for Ducati valves. Guide to adjusting Desmo valves.
So I decided to automate it using an Excel spreedsheet. Unfortunately, you can't attach an Excel spreadsheet to this site. So I saved it as a PDF document for display purposes only.
Once completed, this document serves as a historical document on previous settings and shims used on each valve. It also takes all the math errors out of the adjustment process.
If you would like the Excel version, just provide me your email address in a private message.

The attached version is for my ST3. However, you can simply delete the columns for an intake valve for each cylinder for an 2 valve or copy and paste the exhaust valve columns to create another valve for 4 valve bikes. The mathematical formulas will transfer with the copy.

Thanks Ken, this was a very nice idea - even if it has an extra valve or so <lol>...

I've had a number of requests for different versions of the spreadsheet. So I now have spreadsheets for 2,3 or 4 valve. Just specify the version. I can also attach all. In addition, I'm using Windows Excel 7. If you need me to dumb down the version, just let me know what your using.
I intentionally didn't lock any of the cells, since the cells you need to change are in yellow. However, you can change the nominal shim gaps to your desire tolerances.
