Which oil filler cap?

My original oil filler cap leaks - well there is always an oil mist around it and all over the engine cover. Tried changing the o-ring, to no avail.

So I bought a billet cover that looks like the original. It just wont stay tightened.

What are you guys using?

thanks

David

Stock hand tightened. No problems for 40,000 miles.

Try a smear of plumber's dope or a swath of teflon tape on the filler cap threads it it's misting.

I had the same problem with my original. I bought one from TPO Parts with the spark plug wires. It has a safety wire hole, but jeez, that thing really sinches done without much help. Of course, zero leaks.

Have a good one.
