I never did understand why some manufacturers went with plastics considering the issues with ethanol laden fuels. Just that much cheaper?
I see the 1199 is coming with an alu tank..

Another reason to stick with the ST and not switch to a Multi.

We still have a roadblock here in Oregon in that the law will not allow dispensing into typical vehicles. You can't just pull up to the pump and start pumping into your bike. In my case, if I want real fuel, I bring my gas cans down to a local marina and fill them.

Fascinating , what does "typical vehicle" mean ?

I have ridden thousands of miles in Oregon. All the stations I have stopped at will let you pump your own gas if you are on a motorcycle once you let the attendant run your credit card and turn on the pump.

I am not referring to pumping your own gas. I do that all the time. I am saying that it's illegal to put non-ethanol in just about every vehicle. Exceptions are racing vehicles, boats, lawn mowers, and autos built prior to the year 1956.

So do you have stations with both ethanol mixed & non-ethanol gas? I am confused. If you cannot use non-ethanol gas in your vehicle, why would any station (excepting marinas) have anything else?
