03 ST4s Kickstand Switch

Ok, I have a new problem on my 03 ST$s. Bike is in netrual and netrual bulb is now flashing instead of a steady light,
put kickstand down with bike in netrual and engine dies. Where to start,
kickstand switch or netrual switch in rear of case?

Thanks Jack...

It sounds like the sidestand switch is functioning the way it is supposed to. Cutting the motor off if it's in the down position and the bike thinks it is in gear.

I'm thinking it the neutral switch, that's what is causing the neutral light to
flashing on and off in a rapid patern. Has anyone had to replace the
neutral switch and what were the symptoms when it went bad?

Jack

When you're in gear, does the neutral light go entirely out?
Jumper the neutral switch and see if the problem goes away?....
