No speedo!
Well, after enjoying a few weeks of flawless running, the speedo quit working and my random stalling/stumbling reared it's ugly head again. I think I have the missing isolated to one of the coils. What is typical when the speedo suddenly stops? Sounds like there is a cable that goes to the front hub?

Yes, and the cables do break on older ones. The oem cable is actually pretty inexpensive, I was pleasantly surprised.

Yeah, but my speedo drive was what toasted the cable. So, have a look at both. A new speedo drive had to come out of Italy for me. That was a fun few weeks with a temporary bicycle speedo.
I believe that I diagnosed mine by putting the broken bit in the drive and spinning the tire in both directions. I had a bad, gnoching sound when rolling backward.
Have a good one.
