Sargent or corbin?
went for the first ride with the msss on the back and we both enjoyed it very much on this stolen sunny day in october!
howevver : the standard seat is one slippery bugger and also for me not too comfortable...
so here we go :
Sargent or corbin?
anyone tried both?
greetz & tx

Yes. I have both. I think the Sargent is most comfortable. The Corbin has a backrest so it worked well when the wife rode with me. Now that I have a top case for her to lean back on we never use the Corbin.

Seat
If you get a chance try the Ducati Performance seat, cheaper than both, and very comfortable!
I've only tried the Corbin and was not impressed.....

I have the Sargent, I haven't even tried the stock seat since I just bought my bike, but I can feel that it is very comfortable. The previous owner said he loved it and he has toured all across the country on it

I've recently acquired a 2006 ST3s with a Corbin seat, being a newbie to the world of ST's of do not have much of a reference suffice to say the Corbin is like sitting on a slab of concrete however it is so slippery it is like sitting on a slab of greased concrete. Wish it had the stock seat.
I must say the information on this site was invaluable in making my purchase. Thanks to all you people out there. Hope to be able to give some back.

We should all list what kinds of backsides we all have ,
make some different categories and pick which one we are,
We are all different and different people will like different seats...
Some seats can be worked on and have different shape and density of foam installed in them , I think that is the best way to go ,if there is someone in your area who knows what they are doing ...
Yeah it is helpful to get others thoughts on their brand of seats but what they prefer is maybe not what suits you.

ST4S came with the performance seat and it was too slippery. Went the Sargent route and it is a bit better, much more comfortable for long rides and more convenient with the hiding hooks and small storage compartment with a pretty waterproof container. Like the feel of my crotch on the Itai flag as well....LOL

got one for sale
I've got both...
If you are interested in a relatively cheap Corbin with the back-rest, PM me.
I've been thinking about letting it go for a while...
