Custom paint for ST3?
I have been contemplating a custom paint job on the ST. Here is what I'm thinking; Ducati yellow, some form of blue (maybe ST2 blue?), or a "Corse" scheme a'la Twerth's former ST2. Here is what she looks like now and Twerth's ST2:

Nothing is better than original paint IMHO. But then again, my bike is red. Sure, go ahead if you want, it's your bike. But silver is very nice original colour too, in fact it's the featured bike in the factory manual. I do like that PP paint scheme as well. Just avoid flame jobs please.

There is a poll guys.
As money keeps heading out for all kinds of things lately, it probably won't happen for a while if ever, but I was curious what you guys thought. I love Ducati Yellow and the "Corse" scheme is just awesome.

I loved Twerth's bike - actually talked to him about buying it, but it was before I could really make the plunge. So I'm one of the ones who says, if it's really elegant looking and you'd love doing it, then why not? As long as you accept that you may spend a lot while not increasing the value of the bike in at least some buyers' eyes.... There are probably members who don't like that paint job because it isn't stock, but the bike's there for YOUR enjoyment. How much would you enjoy it in different colors?....

I voted for the Corse scheme. If you are going to shell out $$$$ to repaint your bike, you might as well make it a custom paint scheme.
Although the fastest color is my favorite for the old style ST models, I don't think it or silver look good on the new style models. IMHO, all that clear plastic around the headlights and turn signals requires a darker, contrasting color, such as blue, black, or red.

You and I talked about Twerth's bike before. Didn't know if you remembered.

Thanks Bill. We talked about the yellow before. I do really like the ST2 blue if I went single color.

I wonder how BBG would look on the new style ST models.
