ST2 stock chip

Hello, getting the bike going again. Trying to pass emissions, co's are to high. Anyone got a stock eprom I could borrow? In Arizona would be good, but I will pay for priority mail both ways from somewhere else.
I seem to have misplaced mine, or I might have given it to another ST rider, can't remember[getting old].
PM me, thanks. I have a 99, not that it should matter.

The trimmer is all the way clockwise, bike runs fine. CO's just to high.

I wonder if the trim pot in the ecu is bad? What happens when you turn it CCW?

Diagnosing ?

Dan if the co's to high it could be alot more than tps-sensor,chip etc.If the bike has been sitting awhile maybe old fuel but also maybe have your duc-tech do the real work before you start to play shade tree mech, turning this and that might make it worse, opinion only...Good luck sir.

Cool, I have my fingers crossed. I hope you don't mind I sent ya the CA model, it may run better since the chip was designated for west of the Mississippi

No didn't mind as long as it passed.
Well, I got into it today. The TPS was at .157 mv, so I set it down to .150mv, no big change. I had to use a small torx allen, tapped into the stop screw on the left throttle body. The allen was striped, it worked really well. Set the throttle plates at .520mv.
Synced the throttles as well as I could at 5000rpm, opened the left air bleed about 5/8ths turn to sync the idle. Idles about 1000-1100rpm.
Took it for a ride and noticed some of that popping you guys are always complaining about, so I had a pretty good feeling I was in the lean zone.
Went to emmissions and got through with no problems, 5.35 co with 5.50 allowed. Original trip had me at 5.63 just missing it. I think I remember on my first time at emissions[passing] we had the bike idling at about 950rpm. I had changed the idle a while back after checking the voltage on the bike. It had been at 11.8 volts or so while idling at 950, increasing the idle to 12-1300rpms had increased the voltage to about 13.6, so I left it there.
I almost think just that change in idle rpm increased the CO's just over the limit. Everytime I adjusted recently increased my idle slightly and the CO's were higher every time. Could just be coincidence, or there may be something to it.
Time to switch the eprom back and return the stock CA one to Max, Thanks Max. Time to RIDE!!!

Great news Dan, glad it helped, what are the chances you will need that chip in the future? Send me enough to cover the postage and you can keep it if you think you may need it.
