ST2 Battery Charge
Hey Guys- typical winter time battery blues. Is there a way to charge the battery (non- trickle charger) without taking the right side fairing apart? What about that Auxillary plug under the seat? Does it go "both ways"? Thanks, Jim

I assume the ST2 is the same as the ST3. I only use the Auxiliary plug to charge my battery. It's great if the battery is low and you need an overnight charge. It is a fused outlet direct to the battery.

Thanks guys. Dumb question. How do you determine which terminal you plug POS & NEG into? Thanks- Merry Christmas.

Not dumb at all Jim. If you dont ask and you haven't read it somewhere, then you wont possibly know.
I had no idea that the Aux plug could be used for such a purpose, until I read it somewhere on a (probably this) forum.
I mean it's hardly obvious really is it - I would have been the last person on Earth to assume that a power outlet, was also a power inlet for battery charging purposes...

Thanks Mark. Is there an adapter for the male side that I can hook my charger clamps onto? Thanks, Jim

DucJim, check out the Powerlet website...they have the male plugs plus many other goodies too! Do your clamps unplug from the charger? If so, they probably have an adapter that will plug right into your charger.

Good luck!

Thanks Mike. No, my charger is a standard car charger. Just alligator clamps hardwired to the charger. Jim
