2v Miles
My first Ducati is a Hypermotard and I have to admit that I love the bike. I am up around 10,000 miles now and I am considering putting more money in to it for the high capacity fuel tank, slipper clutch, etc. But it made me wonder about how many miles a 2v Ducati is good for. I'm not doing track days. Just commuting, some distance rides (400 miles) and normal weekend fun riding. And I don't plan on doing any internal mods to the engine (I have the 2-1 Termi exhaust and DP ECU)
So for all of you experienced Ducati owners, how long can I reasonably expect a 2v Ducati twin to last with regular/detailed (adjust valves, belts, oil changes, filters, all scheduled stuff) maintenance without a major issue or overhaul?

If you take care of it, as you should with any vehicle, it will last forever.
I had 35,000 miles on my 1998 900ss before it was stolen. Obviously the thieves thought there was still miles left in that bike. :-(

I know of some 900SS's that have +100.000km, so if maintenance is ok they can last very long!
