Poll: How Many Times Have You Laid 'er Down?
Never
Once
Once a week
Once was enough
I dumped the sister-in-law going up the gravel drive and once dodging an ambulance whilst leaving the hospital (in sandals). Thanks that both times I was numb and walked away OK.

What exactly do you mean by "laid 'er down"?
Are you talking about any kind of crash? When I think of that expression, I always picture these old guys who try to pretend they purposely put the bike on the ground instead of hitting whatever else they were going to hit...
"Yep, this car pulled out in front of me! So I laid 'er down! Otherwise, I would have crashed for sure!"
