1098 Owner Survey Poll

Just interested to see whether the new 1098 has created a conversion to Ducatis.

Had loved Ducati's since 851 came out but could never really swing the cost and with the 999 I could but the style just didnt do it for me so the 1098 is now in the garage.

I've wanted a Ducati ever since the 916 but was wary of the maintenance schedule. The 1098, with it's "50% less" servicing, got my attention right away. So I put in an order back in November but only if it came in black, which it did, well sort of The bike is freakin'... Damn, I still find can't find the words to describe how good it is or how much I love it

I have always had access to a bike for the occasional ride, but the only street bike I ever owned was a beat Yamaha FZ600 that I bought, fixed up and sold in college.

I have lusted after a Duc since the 916SP, but never had the capital to buy one, or maintain it.

Well this past year I moved, paid off my car and truck so I needed to find something else to blow my hard earned cash on! A friend had bought a 998 and loved it. We were drinking a couple cold ones on New Year's Eve when he pulled out an article about the 1098. I read it and decided I was buying one!

So I bought it sight unseen back at the beginning of March. Had a spell of terrible weather but I finally took delivery of it at the end of April. Could not be more impressed or grin any larger every time I ride it! I won’t even get started how many thumbs up or compliments I get on it!

I can safely say of all the bikes I have ever been on, this little red head takes the cake hands down!

no ducs, but...

had about everything else- mostly whole lotta english, couple german, couple american, buncha japanese, somewhere along the line i built a 250 ducati for road racing (someone else rode it), though, and it intrigued me- so when i got a chance at a monster- well, it was like a norton for the new era. now for the next ducati...

Since being interested in street bikes, I've wanted a Ducati, but bought an FZ1 instead. One track day on the Yamaha and I was hooked, and convinced I need ed a Ducati. I've had the 1098 since April, and love it. I'm now considering replacing the FZ1 with an ST4 for those longer trips.
