I always wear mine. Even though my current state doesn't have a helmet law, the lid comes on before I ride away. Its just not worth the risk for me or my family.

I had an incident last year and my head decided to meet the pavement. Wrote off a great helmet. Walked away. For me, there is no question. ATGATT.

I can't tell what the poll questions have to do with the helmet law.

I always wear a helmet. I always wore a helmet before it was required by law.
And if the law was overturned, I would still always wear a helmet.

For me:
No helmet law! ( I favor personal liberty/responsibility).

I wear a helmet all the time because it is my decision to do so.

In this state, I don't have to wear a helmet if I do not want. I like the idea that I am not being forced to wear one due to the efforts of an insurance lobbiest group. I enjoy having the freedom of choice.

You should probably add another option to the poll...

I will always wear a helmet but I don't think there should be a law that requires it. It's my choice. At the very least it will prove Darwin's theories on natural selection...stupid animals don't survive very long and therefore won't reproduce.

Indiana does not require helmets.

I am with you on the personal liberty/responsibility; the problem is those who want personal freedom/liberty until they get in a wreck and the rest of the responsible society is stuck paying the hospital/therapy bills in the county hospital.

I would have agreed with you several years ago but now that we have all this health care reform and we are paying for insurance for everyone anyway, what difference does it make? I think the new law mandates that you have to to have health insurance right?

Besides this is a Ducati forum. I would say that most persons that are affording and riding a Ducati probably have health insurance. Maybe we could start a poll to see? Kinda curious now...
